I'm running Windows Vista Basic because it came with my laptop. It takes up a lot of resources, but it's not all THAT horrible like a lot of people claim.

I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium, and I actually like it. It at least has the "Oh, shiny!" effect for a few weeks...

Vista Home Basic, the only thing I hate about it is that it creates more folders for installed softwares, and that confuses me sometimes when I am looking for files.. :D

I have Windows XP, Vista and Ubuntu (Linux)...
But I stay on Windows XP always so that makes the 2 other OS useless :p.

Vista Business For Me. When your machine can handle all of Vista, it really is a great OS. The live search feature is amazing. With the press of a couple keys I can have Visual Studio up in a heartbeat

Vista Business (on PC) & Ubuntu 7.10 (on Laptop). I would really love to use Ubuntu on my PC but some Adobe packages don't run smoothly on it, which is a shame. Linux is the future though - I swear, one day, we will all be using it...

I'm still using Windows XP because Windows Vista is to heavy for my computer and I don't like it, Microsoft lost his simplicity.

You should update to SP3, SP2 is no longer supported.

using XP. most my computers aren't new so i'm better off using the oldie XP to have my programs run smoother. besides, it's been around for along time so all the patches and updates and bug fixes must really have a positive impact on the stability of the OS.

Got a Windows 7 Starter Netbook Edition. It's pretty ****py as you cannot even simply change your desktop background, but for Coding purposes, it serves well I suppose. Would rather have XP as you have more control.
My baby is on it's way though:

Well from experience , Window 7 is my best Operating System because it's visuals graphic, sounds and portability is awesome. One thing which i likes in Windows 7 more is that we don't have to install drivers, it will automatically configure your PC and install all required drivers.

I run Windows 7 Home Premium now, I purchased a new computer to replace my slowly failing MacBook which has been having an overflow of problems recently. It was running Leopard, I still use it for graphical work though.

I didn't really like it at first to be honest. I really like it now compared to the older Windows versions. Booting and shutdown times now are instant. Got a great feel and look to it also.
Don't really use the Aps side though.
Kind regards,
LC.
