Lign where i want

So as you can see the header have a background image with repeat BUT also have a 80x80px jpg that stay in the middle. I want to align that jpg to the left exactly where the menu column begins because i want to put in a text in the right side of the header.
I tryed in the css #header - margin: 0 0 0 50px; but it doesn't work - i'm stuck in this. :(

If you havnt solved it I would most probably use padding and a tiny red pixel background image... Hope you get it working
