Guest alert popup

Hi,

What's your opinion of guest information bar on the top, telling you to register with alert sounds while viewing every page. Because some people telling me that its scaring them and not feeling welcome to register. :roll:

Well in my opinion, if I don't have alert popup for guests then they won't register as they can read anything here.

If you're member, you won't see the alert popup.

Remove the sound, but keep the "register" bar :)

close some forums and remove the bar. That'll make them register :)

Get rid of it. It's silly. It doesn't offer any extra incentive to register whatsoever. Other than "get rid of this annoying yellow bar" - and that's not a very friendly incentive.

I think it too closely resembles the IE and Firefox security warning bar. It may very well be designed to look that way, but you should realize that when people see those bars they're expecting to find that the site has either tried to slam them with popups or tried to install something behind their backs. Definitely not the best first impression to be making.

I say keep the bar, but change the color and remove the sound. Do that and it'll be perfect :D
