Me wanna Mac

This is a random rant in a time of boredom lol.

Lately Windows XP has been getting me down. I never realised how bad it is for development. It seems that everything I do can be done faster and better by mac.

I decided to find the cheapest mac i could (i am only a student remember lol) and of course the cheapest was £760 sumfing or other. ;( dam mac and there expensive products...

Out of curiosity now. what do you lot prefer mac or windows. and say if it is is a stupid question lol.

I thought there was a thread like this already.. but if I have to choose between Mac OS and any version of Windows, I would choose OS X. I am still pondering which I like better: Mac OS or Linux (Gentoo to be more specific).

I found it on Amazon (i'm not a fan of eBay.. I don't trust it much).

I may have to see how long I can save and go for a MacMini. I didn't notice it at first so thanks for that. If I can't save up (most probable) I'll just wait untill Uni and over-use theirs lol

Apple has education with discount, didn't you know?
New iMAC (http://www.apple.com/imac/) as well - Faster, Bigger, Brighter.

I was about to switch to Mac from PC but Mac is expensive (its not I'm poor hehe). Just because I have a new built PC which is faster than Mac and cheap. I also using Power Mac G5 with 20" display at college.

What's kind of Mac are you looking to buy? Laptop? Then I'll try find the cheapest Mac..

Right.. here in the US the discount for a MacMini is around $30.00. I say get a macmini and a nice Flat screen (you can get a 19" for less than $200). I do understand why a student would want a laptop however too.

yeah. Thanks for all the info ill have to see... a couple months and its christmas and staright after tht my bday so fingers crossed. i might be able to get a bit for then.
