Where do you guys get inspiration from?

For design and mark-up inspiration, primarily sites showcased on CSS design galleries, secondly articles and tutorials on designers' and developers' sites. Often enough though, just the visual design of non-CSS designed sites may inspire me. I also find myself often wishing I had my camera with me at random times to take photos of objects and everyday colours which I think would look great used on a site.

Yes. These days, I tend to ignore "the usual suspects" when it comes to inspiration. Music, architecture and general encounters with other beings can work just as well (if not better) when you know what to look for.

I think looking through various showcase sites is still useful, as you get an idea of what the current standards and trends are, but a lot of the times I've found myself unintentially copying an idea or style when other sites relevant to the project were used as a source of inspiration.

CSS Galleries, my mind, dreams, thoughts, nature, people, ads... Almost everywhere! :P

I don't have any fav website but have lots of inspirational sites in my bookmark. I find that if you keep looking at inspirational sites to get some ideas then it won't help you learn your own idea, to come up with 'unique' alike other sites.

I'm a bit careful about getting inspiration from other sites because I don't want them to look the same.

I get inspired by nature, the urban jungle and people, people is one of my great sources of inspiration, an old man sitting on a parkbench reading the paper, a cute girl jogging past me, a loving couple having a break on a blanket in a park, all of those make me inspired in creating stuff, not only webpages, but also random abstract graphical pieces.

The outdoors is a very good source of inspiration. Take a nice walk outside and absorb all the colors around you!
