Hello,
I am a relative newb to web design with CSS elements, so I apologize if this is a "duh" kind of issue. I've attempted to create a fluid 2-column CSS design for a science writing magazine. The problem I keep running into is the positioning of the two columns below the header. At the top of each column, there are section headings ("Features," "Sidebar," etc.) that I have styled with distinct CSS classes. I'm having troubling aligning these columns vertically, so that the section headings appear at the very top of each column. Using negative top margins (specified in the CSS), I managed to correct the problem for all of the pages when viewed with Firefox or Safari (I'm a Mac user), but the sections appear misaligned in IE (by what appears to be the same amount I specified with the negative margins). Maybe I'm making this more complicated than it should be, but I'd really like to know how to correctly align the top text of these two columns ...
I have attached a link to the home page and to the CSS stylesheet below. Any assistance ya'll could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Matt
