IE - Firefox

You just got to love the incompatibility on the web with IE and Firefox. My site looks good in Firefox but not in IE.

Notice the above link in Firefox...every looks nice. Now take a look in IE. Notice how the header is why out of alignment? What is the best way to correct these types of issues?

Also...
What would be the best way to accomplish the following:

I want 5 columns evenly spaced and centered for images such as in the above link. I will have multiple rows as well as more and more PDF files are added.
