I reckon the best way is to look at as much code as possible from good websites. Download the code, play with it and learn. Books do nothing for me!
What does everyone else think?

I learned by reading articles on sitepoint.com and alistapart.com
I have a few CSS books, but I bought them to add to my collection. I have too many web programming books.

Best way to learn, is you pick up a css website, and try to figure it out how they did that in CSS. I learn css by being a copycat.

I would recommend the book HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables (http://www.sitepoint.com/books/css2/) from Sitepoint (http://sitepoint.com).
That really helped me a lot as it took me through the process of building a site with CSS step by step.

I'm with fistball, start with simple looking sites and work your way up from there. I learned all about CSS from just playing with it. If your using Dreamweaver you might also want to start with some of its built in templates. Cheers.
