Tables not responsive (fluid) in Firefox and Opera

Hi:

In some of my responsive websites I'll use a small table here or there to manage some images -- for instance, a row of Social Media icons. In Safari, Chrome and IE, the tables will narrow and...

Re: Unicode fonts for tablets

Thanks Meesa! I've been trying to find a "master list" of unicode symbols -- do you have a link to one? (The one's I have did not show that symbol.)

Re: Question re: vertical alignment in table cell

Hi Meesa:

Thank you for responding. I figured out that I could use "display:table" on the parent and "display:table-cell" on image div and "display:table-cell AND vertical-align:middle" on the...

Is it possible to have content in a table cell align-center vertically relative to a div next to it, without setting a height on the table?

I have a div floated left with an image in it...

Re: How vertical align linked text on background image

Thanks Meesa but that doesn't work because the link buttons are a fixed size, but the navbar labels vary in length, causing me unpredictable one-line-in-some-browsers and two-line-in-other-browser...

How vertical align linked text on background image

Hi!

Doing a navbar/menu. Each menu item has a background image, same size for each, that makes each link look like rectangular buttons. I want to be able to vertically center the "labels" in the...

Hi Meesa:

For now I put up an ie9 only stylesheet. I will work on things some more but I wanted it to at least work decently while I sort this out.

Thank You for all your assistance!

Re: Site not visible or screwed up in IE9 - eek!

Thanks Meesa. I don't want to change my html on a live site. I just want the navbar to move up in IE9.

Right now it isn't floated, and the content on the right is, and the floated content comes...

Re: Site not visible or screwed up in IE9 - eek!

Hi Meesa:

Can I float the menu to the left and still have it be at the bottom of the page when I go to the smartphone 1-column size of the site?

If you check the site in Chrome, FF or Safari,...

IE9 - unfloated navbar dropping - ok elsewhere

I'm hoping there might be a solution that won't require me having to rewrite everything or do a separate stylesheet for IE9.

Currently my navbar is NOT floated and it's near the end in the HTML -...

Re: Site not visible or screwed up in IE9 - eek!

I just read something saying IE9 doesn't render gradients - I don't know if that's the problem. Ie8 just ignores the gradient and the box-radius, which is fine. It doesn't split the difference.

Re: Site not visible or screwed up in IE9 - eek!

OK - is that it? I see the problem with the white border/boxes; and you're saying the menu is dropping. Anything else?

Thanks!

Re: Site not visible or screwed up in IE9 - eek!

You started with a "no" - do you mean something's wrong with the menu boxes? What, the white outline curves but the boxes don't?

Re: Site not visible or screwed up in IE9 - eek!

Thanks!
