Yeah, I tried the black first off but it made the text so weird and bold looking. The colours looked better but my 'client' didn't like the bolded look of the text.

I only have used photoshop and gimp, definitely an Adobe man. They have the one-stop-knocking-shop sewn up with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Affects, In Design (and even Air).

The opacity is at 90%, so the noise floor of the background is only around 10% compared to the text on top - still technically a large contrast. It doesn't look totally lost to me. If the background...

lol, I accept it may be bad taste, but is it really an accessibility issue? I thought high contrast was good?

Thanks for the responses, am I right in thinking rgba or using a png is not supported by all devices?

Can anyone link me some examples with rgba, pngs for transparency, and absolute positioning...
