Re: [IE Hacks] CSS Conditional comments

I use conditional comments all the time. They should be the first thing you do when styling for IE. Conditional commenting is not a hack, it calls the separate stylesheet for IE to be read by IE or...

Re: Cross Browser (Thinking about paying)

The site validates when the paragraph tags go inside the div, what you have is incorrect, though it may display fine.

Re: Have you ever had a site listed in a design gallery?

I don't subscribe to the theory I have to submit my own site to those sites. If someone thinks it's good (and I don't even think it is) then they can submit it. Tooting my own horn isn't fulfilling.

Re: Favourable Site Layout

2-column header and footer, with sub-nav if need be. Of course I subscribe to the K.I.S.S. method, unless the client wants something out of the ordinary.

Re: css warnings

This is why I do not like the w3c validator, why do I need a background-color for links or text?! This is why I think the validator needs a revamping... that's for sure.

But to just throw in my...

Re: Web 2.0 - new trend?

"Web 2.0" - Trendy fad, silly terminology, nothing to do with anything useful.

Shiny buttons, gradients, reflected text and buttons. *yawn*

Re: IE7

The beta 3 looks promsing to me, I've been testing stuff and it's a million times better than the past versions of IE, I'm liking what I see, even though I am not much of a Microsoft fan.

Re: In the future...

It will never happen in my lifetime. No one should be using hacks anyway IMO, I use conditional comments for IE and just one stylesheet for the others.

Re: Move up/down sections

Very true. Also different! Which is what attracted me to this board. I agree, the main focal point should be CSS and not just a bunch of general posts. :)
