Re: Different css file for different browser= conflict

Was it the file name?

I hate it when people do this. Please share your fix so that if someone comes here with the same problem they can see the answer.

Re: Need some help in alignment

Add float:left;

to

#featured-tabber #info .tabber-post {
float:left;
width:400px;
}

That seems to resolve your issues, if you want to know why then just let me know, otherwise enjoy :)

Re: 3 divs in the center

wrap them in a parent div, give that div a width and a margin:0 auto;

That should centralize everything for you.

That Green is #D5E8D4

There is an addon tool for firefox called ColorZilla which will let you get the color of anything in a website. :)

I highly recommend it.

Re: Enlarged background image & links not working in IE6

Hi Jeremy,

I'm not sure that this is indeed the fix for your problems, however could you try moving the background styles onto the body instead of the html tag?

I always get a bit nervous...

Re: making ul margins behave

I think you might be confused, a UL gets no margin to the left by default, but it does get padding.

How i usually approach a list like this is to remove the padding and set list-style-type:none;...

Re: Browser Issue? or bad CSS?

Ok the problem seems to me to be the negative top margin on the #right div. I can see why you've done this, what i tihnk is happening is that IE is actually fitting it into the space on the right and...

Re: Learning the core of CSS

CSS Tricks is a nice site.

Otherwise learn by doing is my best advice, think of something you want to do, then google how to do it. Once you have that give it a whirl.

Re: Opinions on Tables vs. Divs ?

I am inclined to agree with Betty. If a user visits your site with a screen reader and you haven't set your tables up correctly they are going to hear garbage.

Re: how do you set up a cms?

Depending what you need from your site you could try wordpress or http://grabaperch.com/ wordpress is free but probably a bit more restrictive than Perch. Perch is only £35 though.

Re: web design tools
