Default Background Colors Change on Front Page But Not Others

Hi,

I spent hours just trying to find the right line to change in a newly migrated website, and I managed to change the background color behind the text in the css stylesheet. That's the front page. However, new pages won't inherent that change for some reason.

I want the two pages to look the same. The two pages are:

http://www.deepermeditation.net/oceanicmind (Front page where changes worked)

and

http://www.deepermeditation.net/ocea...nd-mindfulness

How do I fix the code so that the creamy light background color works on all pages? The "Chip Zero" theme's forum is useless, lazy and vague. Wordpress forums are never useful.

The background color I changed the first one to is #eee5de if that makes it easier to find the code.

Thanks.

in style sheet -> oceanicmind/wp-content/themes/chip-zero/style.css?ver=1.2
Code:
|------------------

| Tag(s) - Reset

|------------------

*/

body {margin:0px;padding:0px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18px;color:#000000;background-color:#0e151f;line-height:150%;}
Change the background color property value

(Edit: Breaking News: I still haven't figured it out, but I used a plugin to get the right color. I'd prefer not to rely on the plugin because it hugs the text too snugly and it's annoying to read. My previous response is below.)

I was fooled by that one, too. Your suggestion actually didn't work. It was one of my first guesses considering that the text was set to black and that background color code was the one immediately following the text. Funny. Any other suggestions?

Thanks a bunch.

Search the style sheets for references to rules that are applied to the body element.

Thanks. I did look for "body" in the code and changed some values in that section. It seems like the theme is really tricky. They were pretty slick about coding in their copyright to make that hard to delete, too. It's a good looking theme, but not very customizable as advertised. Looks like I'll stick with the color plugin and eventually figure out some way to change the margins. Even that change didn't work in the body text section. Weird.

The copyright and any links are the price for using a "free" template.
Look upon it the same as "free carrier bags" from shops and supermarkets. When you walk out of the store you become a mobile advert. That's the price of "free" carriers. So I bet you don't think twice about walking out of KFC, MacDonalds or Burger King with a brightly coloured, heavily branded, highly visible bag or "bucket" in your hands.
