Default Border around layout displaying in IE but not FF

I am converting a table-based layout to CSS. The design has a border around the content. I created a wrapper for all of the content, except the footer, with a 1-pixel border on either side. The border displays perfectly in IE (v.6), but not at all in FF. If I put anything but text inside the wrapper below the header, the border disappears.

You can see the page at:

and the stylesheet at:

I've tried a bunch of different solutions to no avail. I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't get it. Thanks in advance for help.

It probably has to do with that 1092px width setting you have. I reduced it to the standard 1004px and could then see the start of the red of line. It's being overlapped by your columns, so if you reduce the width of those to equal 1004px you should have it.

In your style.css, line 15:
Code:
#wrapper {
    overflow: hidden; /* clearing floated elements */
    width: 1090px; /* 2px is for 1px left and right border */
}
/* for IE6 only - clearing floated elements */
* html #wrapper {
    height: 1%;
}

Yep that's right and you still need to check the math on the content area. It looks like that area is = 1092 and not 1090,as it still overlaps the border on both sides.

I think we just find out how to debug it, the rest will be done by owner in detail.

Hope he can fix it all.

Thanks guys! That's done it. All except the * html hack--that actually broke the layout in IE6. But the rest works now--many thanks!
