Default Custom CSS | Wordpress Thesis 1.8.4

Been working on this site for awhile with no issues: http://www.trinitylutherancc.org/site

goDaddy had to move my site files to a newer server, and now my custom CSS is not responding.

The background here is working in FireFox but not in Chrome or IE:

.custom #content_box {
background: url('http://www.trinitylutherancc.org/images/page_content_green_body.png') 0 0 repeat-y !important;
background-attachment: scroll;
padding: 0;
width: 1017px;
}

I have added the !important property in the custom CSS and Layout CSS files but the 'green' image does not appear. If I change the image name using FireBug the image changes showing that it is being called from the server.

But the custom CSS does not seem to update in the Chrome and IE browsers...even though I have pulled the two CSS files down in Dreamweaver to double check that the background images should be 'green' and not 'blue'.

Thanks for any assistance,
dmbox

Do you have all the files locally? Can you just reupload everything? Moving files shouldn't break anything.

Thank you Meesa...I have pushed all files back up, but for some reason this theme is not recognizing the Custom CSS and Layout CSS files.

I do not know how the theme links to these files in the head.

We may just have to move from goDaddy to another hosting company.

Regards,

Use IE Developer Tools and Firebug to see if the browser is seeing your CSS, or if you have an error. You might also use W3s tools for validating your code, and making sure there are no broken links

I use Firebug and Dreamweaver....the custom CSS is calling for a green background in the content box....which has been verified by pulling the CSS file down with Dreamweaver....and it is correct in the Thesis Custom CSS Editor but the browsers do not see the change from blue to green.

For some reason my custom CSS changes are not being read by the browsers even though the revised CSS files are on the server.

It must be a path problem but I do not know how the page head tag is set in Wordpress and/or the Thesis Theme.

For instance when I look at: http://www.trinitylutherancc.org/site/outreach I do not see a link to my CSS files in the head tag.

Meesa...this problem has been resolved.

goDaddy had recommended a plugin called W3 Total Cache which I had installed prior to the server migration.

Once I realized that the path to my custom CSS (using Firebug) was pointing back to the old server....simply deactivating the plugin solved the problem.

Thank you again, you are a tremendous resource to our community and I am grateful that I am aquainted with you.
