Default Background image to be fixed

Hi,

I am beginner in css. I used to work only with tables. This is my first css website.

I am facing a problem with body background image.

Background image looks fine for all the pages except one page, where the content is more. Please check here.

How to fix this?. Whether i need to create separate background image for this page.

Please anyone help me.

Thanks

this page doesnt need a background image, certainly not if the image I can see on it is just a two toned flat colour background.

make your footer a sticky footer. that gets rid of that issue.

and if you must stick with a background image then just make it the top blue bit and make it a slither and repeat it on the x-axis. the footer will sit at the bottom of every page no matter how long it is...

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I will without background image.

Can please explain the below, if i am using the background image means, how to do?.

"if you must stick with a background image then just make it the top blue bit and make it a slither and repeat it on the x-axis. the footer will sit at the bottom of every page no matter how long it is..."

I already provided repeat on x-axis.

My CSS Code :

body{margin:0 auto;
background-image:url(images/newbg.gif);
background-repeat:repeat-x;

}

#container{
width:779px;
margin:0 auto;
text-align:center;

}

#header{
margin:0 auto;
text-align:left;
height:100px;
padding-top:20px;
padding-bottom:10px;
}

Please guide me.

Thanks
Suvetha

well thats good that you've done that, all you need is the top blue bit in your background and you can then remove the rest, it is not needed.

as for the footer make it width 100% and set a background-color to the blue you've used.
