Default Intersting CSS editor that works like a spreadsheet

There is a problem with every CSS editor on the market. I've tried a million of them. With every single one you use it for a few minutes and think "hey this is pretty cool", but then you end up going back to notepad / ultraedit / whatever.

So I set out to create a CSS editor that people will actually use! (and its free!)

It doesn't work like other editors. It's like a spreadsheet. You can embed expressions and variables right in your CSS. You can send different styles to different visitors based on their browser, their language, their operating system, etc (no more CSS hacks). It can automatically compress your CSS for you.

It's tough to explain without a picture. There are a few pictures here.

I'm going to keep checking back to this thread to see what everyone thinks. Hopefully you will like it as much as I do.

That's sweet, can't believe its only spreadsheet editor. Is there html field where you code <div>?

Did you make that?

Sorry, dunno what you mean. And yes I made it with another programmer. I'm running a startup, so I'm paying him out of my own pocket to help me. So consider yourself lucky for getting it free!

Let me clarify, html field means text editor like notepad where you type the html language such as " <div class="foo">coding..</div> "

P.S. your site is down at the moment

Oh, no there is no HTML editor if that's what you're asking. For now it's strictly CSS (and a bit of java script).

And the site seems to be working for me. I can connect from both my home in Canada and my server in Flordia.

Yeah, small html editor would be great to add in stylesheet editor.

(Your site was down for about 5 mins but its up)

How does the end-result test for browsers, screen width/height, etc? This is an interesting solution, especially for less-experienced or those hesitant with code (a la designers-turned-coders, as the current trend goes). However, if the Javascript (I assume) on the final product is limited, so is every feature tied to the scripting.

If it's any consolation to you, I ran the concept past "big John" of positioniseverything.net, and he approved. What that means is that the system works.

But if you still don't believe, I'm writing an article right now that discusses how the scripting works, I'll post here when it's done.

I didn't mean to imply the code was bad. I'm just curious as to what's being used. I'll be interested in reading your breakdown, once it is down, though.

Ok, here are the articles like I promised. These articles are a key component to by business so I may update the wording here and there. Just thought I'd warn everyone.

Thats just the root of my blog. When you go there scroll to the bottom of the page, and read the posts in reverse chronological order.

Also, some body post me on digg! I dont like doing it myself, that's trash.
