Hi, i'm pretty new to css and there is something I just can't get my head around. I'm trying different layouts and I just can't get it to work. I know its pretty basic stuff and if I can just see how it happens once It will probably make more sense to me.
![]() this is the sample layout i'm trying to make. I just can't make things line up, or when I do and enter text, or an image everything is thrown off again. Any hints, tips or anything will be greatly appreciated. |

That's a difficult design to be trying as a newbie, getting elements to flow around and over each other without "breaking" is no easy task.

So; a bit of playing time with floats and some positioning.

Be aware that if you add padding and/or margins you need to reduce the fixed width and heights by the same amounts.
