Default Internet Explorer Vs Firefox

I'm new to the forum & I love online debates so I thought I would kick off my first post with this, I only just downloaded firefox and i love it, my vote goes to firefox and i will never go back! I mainly like it because it has tabbed browsing, its fast, includes spell checking, you can add extra plugins & extensions! if you use firefox already, upgrade to firefox 2 now, if you don't have it yet, download it FREE from: Firefox

Which do you prefer? please cast your vote & give your views...

What, no Safari or Opera in the mix?

I'll vote Firefox for now (even though I prefer Safari).

That post seems like a commercial for Firefox.

I prefer IE7

I've got Firefox installed on all my computers but I can't stop double-clicking IE.

I remember back, I switched FF from IE. I love Firefox very much. IE7 isn't good, lagging heavier (more than 6 tabs) than Safari 2 and 3 beta. Since Firefox launched version 2, the GUI is getting much better! Woo..

I've tried Firefox multiple times, but I keep going back to Safari. People like the add-ons for Firefox, but it seems bloated on the Mac. Part of that, from what I read, is because it isn't written in Cocoa. Also, I got tired of the occassional hanging and/or crashing.

Safari is just much faster and stable for me.

I'd have to say that any developer who doesn't use Firefox as their primary browser at least for web development, is most likely doing the internet a disservice. With all the plugins available for Firefox specifically for Web Development (ie Web Dev, Firebug, Colorzilla) is just missing out!

Sorry, but I can't bring myself to use Firefox full time for web development. I test things in it for sure, but it's too slow for me to consider full time for my Mac. I have also been encountering some weird bugs with each new release (stable only) of Firefox (like CSS print issues). I've even had sites look good in Safari, IE, Opera and Firefox was the one missing the boat.

This certainly isn't a troll post, but you have to be careful about stating that people that aren't pro-Firefox are doing the internet a disservice (haven't we all seen far too many "This site is optimized for IE" sites?). To each his own on the browsers, but I would prefer people use Opera, Safari, Firefox, Camino, etc (any modern, standards-compliant browser) over IE.

For Safari users, I would recommend checking out PimpMySafari.com

I particularlly like the Safari Tidy and Safari Source plug-ins.
