Default 2 column, 3 column?

Just done the following design for a client: click here and i want to code this badboy in CSS.

Ive only ever done one site before in 100% CSS and it was a much simpler layout and didn't have shadows or anything.

My question is should this be 2, or 3 column and how should i go about creating the white section the content sits in with the shadows either side?

Im thinking 2 column with a header as i can position the navigation in the right place easy enough.

Thanks,

that's two column mate. the orange bit on the right is a background image on your body tag.

put the contact us stuff in a div and float it right.

Thought so, thanks for that .

Any tips for the main content background with the shadows on either side? I guess i could make each side an image and float them in position?

if it's going to fixed width, then make a single image that is the width of the column (white) then add the shadow gradient to each side and have it repeat-y.

The whole width of that white bit? Wouldn't it have to be a background image so content could go over it?

bump - sorry, im still not sure how to get the white bit to work with shadows either side that fade out slowly. Repeat-y repeats vertically yes?

yes
Y is vertical, X is horizontal - it's from the coordinates in mathematics.

Thanks, i managed to get the shadows in place by using absolute positioning. Ive just made two left and right shadow images and made them cling to the sides of my wrapper. Im yet to test it so im not sure if that method will work in IE.
