Default MAC Internet Explorer 5 - Problems

Hi

I submiited a site that I am currently working on http://www.learnevents.com/06/index.php to browsercam to see what it looked like when viewed by MAC's on IE 5.

Well....... it is totally screwed, the navigation is centered and the content drops below the naviagtion far too much, here is an example http://www.learnevents.com/06/6762599.jpg

I really dont know where to start, and how to fix this for MAC's, and the worse thing about it is the client uses this browser!

Any help on this would be great, as deadline is fast approaching.

Thanks

It's always a ****per when it's only the client who has a problem with a new site. Grrrr happens too opten for my liking.

But seriously, IE5 on MAC usage is so low it's really not worth worrying about. Educate your client that there's only 7 people in the world using that browser and they would have much better general surfing experience if they upgraded thier browser to Safari or Firefox. The reason people don't change browser is usually because they aren't aware that there are other options out there.

Agreed.

Even when you go to msn.com in IE Mac 5.2, there's a message and link telling you to go download Safari.

Actually, it's 8, there's a guy in San Diego I used to work for that probably still uses and codes for it.

it aint worth the hassel if you think about it and if your client realy wants sometyhing to be available for them... make some javascript or something that tells them to "GET A BETTER BROWSER" lol that would be my action plan anyways

Don't bother trying to get it to work in IE 5.2 on the Mac. Support for the browser has been stopped by Microsoft anyway. Tell your client to get a better browser and just forget about IE on the Mac.

IE for MAC is a real ******* lol (sorry for the language). I don;t bother check sites in it anymore - its a horrible piece of software. Like someone said, it can't even display MSN.com correctly.

Introduce the client to Firefox .
