As the topic says ^ Do you build the parts or buy the whole computer package from shop? What hardware you have..
This built computer I have: 17" LCD monitor 120gb hard disk 512mb Ram Pentium 4 2.8GHz Microsoft keyboard & optical mouse We have only that computer faster than old one. I hardly share with my brother so I am looking to buy another computer for me. I want to have: 20" Dell LCD widescreen flat display Microsoft keyboard / optical mouse Ram? Don't know Storage? Don't know I also wanted Power MAC but I don't want to spend with parents' money. Better to buy with my own money. |

Whoa Windows 3.1 and 95! Can you take a screenshot of Windows 3.1? I'd like to see what Win 3.1 looks like.
Why not sell old computers and get $$$ money

I don't think I could get any money for those
They are kind of wrecked. My laptops on/off button is broken and I fixed it in a quite ugly way My Windows 3.1 computer only starts every second time and are there really a market for such computers? I am also too attached to Windows 3.1 to get rid of that computer and my laptop is the only "portable" computer I posses... I had a Nokia 16 mhz 386 computer which I gave away and I did the same with another old computer recently.I'm sorry but I can't take a screenshot right now - I don't have that computer set up because of lack of space and my high school project is due to wednesday so I better write like hell until then ![]() Windows 3.1x is however the best Windows I have used because of it's stability and close relationship with DOS. I grew up with this OS and it was the only OS I used until 5 years ago. The only negative thing with 3.1 is that I haven't found out how to use internet with it I think I need 3.11. I would like to test Windows 286 also, I have the original floppies but I haven't had time to test them...Some screenies I found: Installing some drivers You didn't have a desktop in Windows 3.1, instead the shortcuts were placed in the program manager |

Vox Pelli: I think Win 3.1 only had support for dialup connections. You can try setting up a DSL connection, but you'll probably find that you need Windows for Workgroups (Win 3.11) due to incompatibility/unavailability of drivers for Win 3.1. To get a network going you'll need some DOS drivers.
